This afternoon had absolutely perfect light - the sky was a heavy leaden gray ,and the illumination around Miranda was almost completely even - my favorite light for portraits.

It took a little effort to get Miranda out onto this rock, but the results were everything I’d hoped they would be…the dark lake around the stone was motionless, and her pale figure, set against the dark and textured rock, stands out like a light in the dead of night!
