At the beginning of this workshop, I did a demonstration of the power of compositional choices; in this case, making an image which was 75% empty.

After finishing with the flowers, I shifted to photographing gears on a mirror, getting two subjects from one object!

Just as I was finishing up with the gears on the mirror, I caught sight of the incandescent lights reflecting off the underside of the metal...it was very pretty, and when combined with the uber-shallow depth of field of the micro lens, the results were really pleasing.
