A One-on-One Field Trip (Halifax, Nova Scotia)

I don't often post images from one-on-one mentoring sessions, but in this case, I really like the results, and thought I'd share them. Though I made more than a hundred images while working with this particular student, two really stick with one - one of a japanese maple in their front yard, the epitome of colour, mixed with my penchant for shallow depth of field, and the other a study in line and tone - a photograph of skylights in their main room. In many ways, the images are polar opposites, but that us much of the reason why I like them so much.
